Stuck wheel bearing removal with pic
Hello, I got a stuck wheel bearing. Just ended my second night of hammering on it, the old bearing has completely fallen about. I can't get it to break loose from the knuckle. Would it be a bad idea to take a blow torch to it? I'm out of ideas and exhausted.

just did mine this past saturday and it took 3.5 hours to do we mine were in because of rust end up getting a air chisel/hammer and hitting the **** outta all the way around and then beating the hell outta it with the sledge lol good luck bud i know the pain

hmmm honostly I just replace the hub. Don't think I have ever changed the front bearings out on the 99+ trucks come to think of it lol. Are those hubs even serviceable?

wtf that is crazy i just swapped 2 hubs on my buddies fishing z71 and even with all the rust and corrosion only tool like 30 min to swap both out. Man idk what to tell you never had a prob with one. I thought you were trying to replace the bearings in them.

Alright put the bolts back in use a air hammer on them pushing the hub out. Or find a way to use a slide hammer. But the air hammer trick I use up here in michigan. Works majority of the time had one fail out of 10
Keep in mind not to put bolts all the way in, I usually go about 5 threads in. until it starts moving then back them out some.

Get a good one- those ones from Walmart might do it but i wouldn't hold my breath- last one I used was a buddy's on his truck it was a husky and that even had a hard time.

thread the bolts about halfway in, build yourself a nice little "ram rod" out of extensions, CAREFULLY (meaning keep fingers out) have assistant start the truck, and while turning the steering wheel...lodge your ram rod between the frame or somewhere on the suspension and the head of the bolt, and it'll pop out a bit, you may have to work side to side a couple times
