Default Subs in a reg cab?

Anyone have pictures and info on sub setups in reg cab trucks?

I am thinking I am going to put a single 8w7 in my single cab, has anyone tried it? I don't know if I will have the room to accomodate the mounting depth though.

Just looking for ideas.

I just bought a ProBox enclosure for my RCSB. You can buy it for either 2 12"s or 2 10"s. You still have decent leg room and it has a space in the middle of the box for an amp.

You can have a box built to run a single 10" or 12" if you want to keep some storage.

A single 300w RMS 12" is going to outperform a single 8w7 IMO. Just have a box made for a 12w3v2 or buy the probox and use 2 12w1v2s or 12w3v2 (you'd probably have to notch the back of the box to make em fit).

I agree on the 12 outperforming the W7. I got a smoking deal on this W7 though so I thought I would play around with it a bit. I have had ton's of systems with 12s and 10s, I just wanted to try something different. I have the 8w7, as well as 2 12w6s at my disposal. So, depending on how the 8 sounds, I could always throw the W6s in.

The w6s will be a tough fit I have 2 Diamond Audio D6s sitting in my closet that wont fit. Grr

You could do a nice ported box for the w7 and I'm sure it will sound good if not overly loud. Your problem is depth though. I don't think you have the depth for a w7 unless your part midget. Hehehe

Let us know what you decide and when you get the box done post up some pics

can you expand on this a little please. I am no midget at 6'7" and leg room is of the upmost importance. I could maybe stand to loose one notch but that is about it.

The W6s would fit that Probox you posted. The mounting depth is a hair under 6.5 on them.

I am going to build a 1.0 cu/ft ported box for the W7 and see what it can do... IF I can get the depth like you mentioned... that is going to be the tricky part I think.

The 8w7 will be a tough fit because of the depth. I have 2 pioneer 10s in my reg cab with a mtx amp mounted in the middle with a sealed box. The box I bought (cheap) was from a friend that had a ranger. It works great but not a perfect fit. I still have plenty of room but I'am kinda short though 5/6.
