Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried the chuck norris kick lol and im a mechanic not retarded lol so I've lowered plenty in my day. The tool is in correctly and I've tried shoving it in there and turning but no luck. I think im going to have to get a small cutting wheel in there and cut it down. I've tried all the above and doesn't budge. Wondering how much a replacement system will cost.
Thanks.
Thanks.

there is a secondary lock on the spare. Put the jack under the center of the wire and crank the jack up until it pushed the spare tire up a little (raising your suspension a little). Then lower it all and the spare should then be able to come down.
Ask me how I had to find this out haha.....
It has directions right in the owner manual.

I had the exact same problem and was ready to to cut the cable. I tried one last time before cutting the cable, I got under the truck and there is a plastic tube that guides the handle into the hoist that was bent, this tube is two pieces. I slide the piece closest to the hoist back toward the bumper and guide the handle into the hoist and started turning and the tire came down.Hope this helps.

I didn't mean specifically that he was turning it the wrong way. I have had them not lower when you turn them the proper direction. If you turn it in the wrong direction first it will let it lower. Figured if it works on an old rusty truck in NY then it should work on any truck down there.
