A while back on Trucks on TNN they did a rag top install on an 01 Sierra. It is exactly the same install as a sunroof though. It didn't look too hard, but there isn't much room for error. He removed the headliner and with a wheel saw (or whatever it's called) he removed just enough of the roof braces. Then he traced the pattern of the ragtop down and with a hacksaw he cut the hole out. He used paint stir sticks to support the sheetmetal since the supports were cut out. Oh yeah and be sure to cover the seats, dash, glass, etc, to protect from sparks with the wheel saw. Then modify and maybe reupholster the headliner. After all that crap the rest should be easy. My previous truck, a 98 Dakota had an electric sunroof and it was pretty cool.

I have a 17" x 32" Funsport pop-up sunroof from Danmar Enterprises, Jacksonville, Fla. Looks really good and has a factory look to it. I did not install it my self though. It was in a magazine for this install and it does not look like fun. I was going to get an electric one, but I decided not to so I could keep my overhead counsle. Check out my web page to see a pic of it. web page

I have no idea what the price was, because it was in a magazine, I got it done free. I also do not know the number, maybe you can call information and see what they could do, sorry about that.

I have a friend that had a moon roof done on his 00 Silverado. It looks factory, but cost a lttle over $1400 out the door. They took his stock (short) overhed console and moved it forward and put the switches in it. This ws in Houston BTW.
