SVT Focus vrs. My truck
There is this kid down the block where I live who sweers he can take me in his SVT Focus. So I told him I am always down for a race. We should line up sometime. What do you all think. Should I race him now or wait till I get more mods.

Go ahead and race him. Who cares if you win or lose. If you lose it's good incentive to get more mods and if you win you get to talk $h1t to him about getting beat by a big old truck. 
I don't know what those things run but, I'm sure somebody knows.

I presume its a hatch back not a 5-door right? Either way its in the 15's. They dont respond well to mods so a few bolt ons will only get it to the low 15's
Your truck should be in the 15's also, but it likes mod's and a few bolt ons will get you in to the 14's.

Lol I haven't seen an SVT Focus yet but it's gonna take one nasty blower to get that ztec motor to do anything. My votes on your 5.3.

I raced my friends SVT Focus in my old ext cab '02 Z71;
I beat his *** until he hit the top of his 3rd gear.
The focus was not modded and the only thing I had was a Borla on. If you have a 5.3 with less weight and even a programmer you should be able to beat him easy.

Ok .. here are the results.. I beat him bad.... A couple of days ago I had taken some air out of my rear tires for better traction. I left them at 30psi. Well, we went from a dead stop and and my tires just chirped. I had one awesome launche. Right off the back I put about 1 truck length on him and pulled like 3 car lengths to about 80. Well he asked me to go from roll. We went form a 25-30(that is my truck's sweet spot) and same results as soon as my engine reved I pulled real bad on him. I must had about 3 truck length on him by 99mph(cut off). So I proceded to put my emergency lights and he did the legendary ricer fly by. Well the best part of this was not winning, it was the **** I was talking afterwards...... I don't noramlly talk **** but I just had to with this little punk. Poor little kid he went home with tail between his legs.

hahahhaha. whats funny is that he thought he had a chance. A friend of my cousin has a new Civic Si with an intake, exhaust, and a 50 shot. he ran a 16.8 without the NOS. . . I dont think im gonna have any problems hahaha but he says he can beat me because i have a top speed limiter at 108, so i told him it doesnt matter because ill be so far ahead by then he wont have a chance to ever pass me, unless we race for like 3 miles
