Default t56 speed sensor and speedometer

I got a T56 out of a dodge viper. It just so happens i got the year viper that they put the speed sensor in the rear diff. So where the speed sensor should go on the transmisson right below the shifter i have a port that has never been drilled out. i could take the tranny back out of my truck and drill the hole for the sensor but then again i don't it has the reluctor wheel on the output shaft of the tranny so i would have to try and rig something up there as well. So my question for you is does anybody make a aftermarket speed sensor and reulctor wheel that i could mount maybe on the slip yoke or somewhere i haven't thought of? oh and that will work with the factory speedometer.

I'm not sure what to tell you about that. You might want to post this over on tech. How did you get a Viper T56 to bolt to a Gen III V8? Did you change the bellhousing out? From what I understand the input shafts are quite different as well.

Yeah i put a ls t56 bellhousing on it, turned down the input shaft, and built a space for the slve cylinder. Thanks for the advance i went ahead and machined the tail housing out and put a gm speed sensor in it and got a machine speed gear or reluctor wheel from six speed inc.
