Default Tach Mounted in a Modified Triple Pillar Pod (56k Warning)

A fellow member contacted me to see if I could mount a 2 5/8 tach into a triple pillar pod. The stand hole size for the pillar pod is 2 1/16. So after some cutting and fiberglassing it is done.

Standard pod, you can see the markings where I am going to cut.

Mold made out of poster board and tape.

First coat of fiberglass.

After some sanding

Applied some adhension promoter and several coat of 2-part filler primer and sanding

I applied some wrinkle finish to restore the factory grain.

Finished Product

The member will apply the final color coat.

I have not tried it yet, will try tomorrow once the wrinkle finish is completely dry, it takes forever to dry. But I did not modify the backside of the pod, mainly just the opening so I don't think it will have any fitment problems..
