Default tach is off

just wondering if anyone else has run across this problem. i just put taller rim/tires on my truck so i got a vinci crane tuner to recal the speedo and put a half assed tune in the truck. i put the tune in 2 days ago and all was well but today i went to the drag strip to see how the truck would run and on the way home the tach started reading 1k rpm lower than what the truck usually runs. at idle the needle sits below zero. nothing seems to be wrong with the truck as far as its not idling funny and no loss of power or anything just the tach reading too low.
btw new tires made my truck slower
