Whether it needs lube - just shave it, flip it around & be done. A little paint too. That also works.

 

I got it back together now. Works great. Cleaned it up and oiled it. Seems to be much better.

Thanks for the bezel offer, but I didn't end up breaking it.

I'd like to do a flip, but I don't really want to get into painting yet. The whole truck needs it after this winter, but doubt I'll get to it anytime soon.
