it is interesting to read others opinions on a matter such as that. i had the same conversation with a friend of mine back in 03 when he bought his ram with the hemi. it was hemi this and hemi that. a nod goes out to the marketing campaigne that has brainwashed americas misguided youth.

oh yea, my buddy with the 03 ram now refers to it as "The shitbox on wheels". he has gotten to know his service dept rather well. he got a bad one.

No matter how many mechanical issues they have ,they would never call the Hemi a **** box, they defend it by saying ford and Chevs break down just as much.Funny thing is how many new mechanical failure show up on there forum weekly on new trucks, rarely do you here guys bitching about having to take it in for warrenty,if theres a break down on this fourm it's because of self inflicked wounds.

[QUOTE]You need to undestand that the HEMI is not just another engine like a "triton" or a "vortec". The HEMI is the most Legendary engine ever built.

Well I agree that the 426 hemi was a awesome motor, but I saw a shoot off off all orginal bone stock muscle cars and a hemi challenger only ran a 14.00 in the 1/4. There was also several Fords and Chevys that ran just as good times, such as a 69 chevelle SS 396 375hp, Boss 429 Mustang, 70 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 and some torquey Buick 455 BTW which was one of the fastest with stock 525 ft pounds of torque. So even then they werent the GOD of all muscle cars dominating everything on the road. I guess the times havent changed.

Well, those guys finally pissed off and I lashed out. I normally don't do that, I have even said it's not worth it but I had enough with all the Hemi bullshit. I love my Ram and the Hemi has good power but some of those guys need a reality check.
