hmmmm.... lets follow that logic. Was the 60e designed for that? The 10 bolt rear end? g80? drive shaft? how about spinning the engine to 6500-7000? adding nitrous, methanol?

When you play the game you test the parts. Transfer case included. So far its been about the only part of my driveline that has held up to it.

I understand. I was just making a joke. I don't know what parts disengage when you shift out of 4wd under power. That t-case has been well proven to stand up to that test.

tomorrow, i'm going to test mine out. my truck chirps the 1-2 pretty damn good, at least on the street. i'll launch in 4wd and switch and we'll see if the manual t-case will switch out and chirp the 1-2 or not. i dont think it will.

Sorry guy... missed the joke.

I've not been into the transfer case yet, coming soon, but it looks like its just a clutch pack that the encoder motor engages to put power to the front. Not any different than an automatic transmission.

What I'm doing works pretty well, I think I will continue to do just as I have dozens of times.

i am not sure what was said above but i do agree auto4wd is a bad thing. very hard on parts. much smoother to launch in 4hi.
