bout how much will that kit be? if there is not much difference in price i might as well just get the new shaft and maybe that will solve that thumping sound that i hear on my front end.

Those lube kits usually cost about $14 at any dealer. The new shaft...it's usually about $100 but I sell em for about $75

mine is knocking when i turn but i have another 15k on warranty and was just wondering if its gonna break on me or do people just change it cause its annoying?

Oh it's not going to break or anything like that. It's just very annoying, that's whay everyone changes it. It is a poorly designed part, but there is no threat of breakage or damage due to the steering shaft knocking and bumping around.

ok cause mine just started doing it and i never saw anything of it breaking but i wasnt sure, thanks again

Is the new design shaft working or is it the same ole thing 6-8k miles later?

I can actually attest that it IS a NEW design with a sealed lube chamber with dry-slide lube instead of liquid based lube.
