Default the tips of my fingers are so freaking sore...

from pulling all the dynamat extreme this POS stereo shop laid down for me.

besides the the puddles of water sitting in open pockets between the dynamat and the doors after removing the water barrier, they laid that stuff over everything (wiring, bolts, etc) and then didn't make sure the integrity of the new water barrier was worth a damn OR roll it out so that there were no air gaps.

From what I remember the dynamat extreme is mostly for vibrations, hence the more metal it comes in contact with the better, NOT the other way around. AND the MF's did me the favor of cutting it on the door so I have some really trick razor cut's on my inner metal door frame, woohooo!

she's a buet!

East coast or West Coast doesn't seem to matter, you'll find POS stereo shops anywhere.

It's truely best to just do it yourself most of the time, what a shame.

Maybe you and Greentahoe can get together and kick some stereo shop a$$.

That sounds like a plan to me!! You seem to be more knowledgable in the install dept than I and maybe I can find a way to reciprocate the favor . Its always easier when they are smart asses or overly rude. I feel bad when they put on the nice guy act.

I wish you guys were all local so I could hook you up with CLEAN installs. Our shop is a lil more expensive than others in our area but this **** is why. I am tempted to print your posts for my customers to read when they are trying to decide what shop to go with. LOL

So true. This is why I always do all my work when it comes to car audio.

I certainly wish I would have done the work myself. I'm plenty capable.
I had other influences guiding me though, I figured it would be faster and done better,
TOTALLY WRONG ON BOTH COUNTS! and the lifetime warranty on work, which I will never use because they suck hind tit! and the extended warranty JL gives for dealer installed items.

Shall I say what else I've found wrong?

OK then
Interior Damage

• Drivers door armrest broken (replace)
• Drivers door panel has two marks on exterior vinyl (refinish)
• Drivers door Boston Acoustics Crossover missing cover (replace)
• Drivers side kick panel heavily scratched (refinish or replace)
• Steering wheel has a slice on it (refinish)
• Drivers side rear door handle mounting tab broken (replace)
• Drivers side rear door panel missing armrest bolt to attach panel (replace)
• Drivers side rear door missing female clip for above bolt to attach (replace)
• Drivers side rear door running board broken (replace)
• Rear seat frame has silicone over mounting bolt and frame (remove)
• Passenger door panel broken (replace)
• Passenger door armrest broken (replace)
• Passenger door panel lowest mounting screw missing (replace)
• Passenger door panel window/door-lock control switch panel broken (replace)
• Passenger door panel electrical plug lever clamp broken (replace)
• Passenger door panel armrest bolt missing (replace)
• Passenger side rear door panel has two scrape marks on vinyl (refinish)
• Passenger side rear door running board broken (replace)
• JL 1000/1 scratched on top of amp (replace)
• Metal clip missing from Head Unit mounting bay (replace)
• Center console plastic tab broken (replace)
• Drivers side B-pillar plastic cover scratched (refinish)
• Drivers side C-pillar plastic cover scratched (refinish)

Stereo/Alarm installation issues

• Noise in system. (I called eclipse tech-line; noise generated from Head Unit AVN2454 a known problem. Spoke with ******. Contact ******* and send Head Unit back for a software upgrade). Before adding new equipment try this first.
• When remote starting vehicle with Head Unit ON, after entering truck, inserting the key, and applying the brake, the Head unit powers OFF and then powers ON again.
• After the original Head Unit was replaced for defects, this Head Unit was installed and does not contain a map of where I live. The original Head Unit did, ensure I have the most recent Navigation DVD disc.
• Windows do not vent at the same time/rates. There is no pattern or consistency to them. Check for proper operation of all window up/down/vent functions.
• Window safety lockout button not working.
• Cigarette lighter not working.
• Factory Chimes and RAP not working. Install correct interface.
• No surface preparation done prior to installing Dynamat Extreme. Portions of sound deadener had black carpet fibers stuck to them and then those pieces installed on door. Rear door speakers: one side had dynamat behind it, the other did not.

and that isn't everything, and doesn't include the $860 in paint damage.

holla if you hear me!!

don't I know it Naked AV, and this BS is holding up my other stuff!

my last conversation with them they asked me "if I was nickel and dime-ing them"?
say huh? are you guys serious?
and they pointed out again "that my truck is not a show truck"
?????
oh and "when you bring in the truck plan on us having it indefinetly, however long it takes"
NOT!
lastly, "we don't need to see any of the damage, we trust you, just bring it in and we will decide what we will fix, ok"
jackass says what?
