Default Torque Management?

What is torque management? Is when your going about 40 (doesn't matter what speed), go about half throttle, and it seems to take a second for the tranny to "catch"? A Nelson tune will get rid of this right?

TM is a part of the computer program that helps prevent drive line abuse. It detunes the engine during a shift so it's not harsh and will actually detuned it some if you try a jack rabbit start. At least that's my understanding of TM, someone else chime in if I'm wrong. Yes, from what I've heard, a custom tune can reduce or eliminate the TM.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. Any custom tune will take care of it but unless you get a shift kit and some servos don't have it all removed. If you are going to go with a Nelson Tune just give Allen a call and he will get you all fixed up.

Yep, I'm getting a Nelson tune, but does it slow me any with the TM? I would think so.

No, a tune won't rid that.

Talking

depending on what is causing it. have him reflash it for you then tune it. that can take care of it if it is a programming issuue. he will know how much tm to take out of it and be safe.
