I don't believe so, we have a 2007 Chevy 2500HD Flatbed at my work and it's a Clutch Fan. LQ4/4L80E truck. Early 2007 so still a GMT800 cat eye.

No 3/4 or 1 ton trucks have electric fans. They still use a clutch fan today or only just recently switched to electric.

I did the Summit SUM-8718R1 to my 06 Suburban 2500 a few months ago. I did an engine refresh job because I had an intermittent lifter tick and just didn't want to go back with the stock cam. I used some remachined 317 heads I had for another engine build I have going on.

I haven't towed with it, but it's pretty torque-y down low and seemed like a good upgrade to me.

I'm looking at this cam https://cammotion.com/camshafts/6-0-...204-212-116-4/
a set of milled 799s I have on hand
Long tube headers, and a TBSS intake for my 2003 ECSB 2500HD 4X4

I want to set it up for flex fuel as well. Hoping all that will make it better, without sacrificing any low end grunt.

No. I think I lost some MPG actually, LoL.

I've been seeing like 10.8-11.2 MPG, but this has been 80 city/20 highway. I was previously at 12 MPG since I had bought the truck...

I picked up like 1.4mpg but I also tuned the O2 Sensor switch points. I lean it out a hair in the cruising ranges, learned that one a long time ago.

Funny you mention Lifter tick, my truck has the stock 2001 LQ4 with a hair under 200k miles. Back in 2015 I did the Oil Pan Gasket, replaced the O-Ring on the Pickup Tube with the new red one. It had a Lifter tick before I did that, it's been gone since. Idles 60psi cold/50psi hot oil pressure with 10W30.

What kind of AFR do you shoot for at cruise ?
How much of an offset will you run on narrowband O2 ?
Particular brand sensor that will behave itself better when operationg out of STOICH ?
ie Bosch, NTK, Denso ?
.
Thanks !!
