I had 265/50/20's and dry traction was great but wet was horrible. Buddy of mine has the 255/35/20 nitto 420s and has awesome wet and dry traction

i am putting them on my 81 c10. 275 60 15's. I do not think that nitto has that size in the 420's. Those are a good tire aswell, just didnt want a cheap *** tire on the truck. I have Hankooks on it now and it rides like it is on eggs.

I'm happy with mine (285/50-20)...as mentioned, great dry traction, and I get by in the rain by driving like a granny lol.

Personally I didn't really like the Toyo's much at all. I went from a set of the General Grabber UHP's to the Toyos and hated the toyo's. Had them on the truck for a total of 3 days while Discount tire was ordering me a new set of grabbers to replace them with.

The grabbers and yokohama avs s/t's both had MUCH better wet traction than the Toyo's and pretty much equal or better IMO on dry. The yoko's were louder though than both the grabbers and toyos.

Only downfall to the Grabbers is their limited size offering.

The last statement is true, I wish the general UHP's came in more sizes, ill be giving the proxes st's a try soon though

IMO, The dry traction on my new Toyo Proxes ST's is FAR worse than the Goodyear's I had on earlier. The Toyo's contact patch is also narrower than the Goodyear. The Toyo's are a nice lookin tire but thats not enough for me to keep them...

thats why i went with a 295/40/20..i just measured the contact patch and its 10 1/4 inches wide...besides any street tire is going to have problems with the power your making
