trans making whining noise?

Default trans making whining noise?

on the highway driving normal today and right underneath me the trans started making a howling/whining noise that was louder the faster i went and quieter when i slowed down?? anyone have any ideas? is my trans about to blow up or what?only thing recent was a converter swap last week.

When the front pump goes bad, the noise increases with engine speed, hopefully that's not the case here.

It got louder on decceleration david.

The noise got higher in pitch as we accelerated, but I think it got louder as we applied the brakes right?

And the tranny fluid still looked pink, and the level looked alright when I looked at it. I didn't think to smell it though.

yea driving home i could hear it on the highway really loud. when we stopped i think there was less wind noise thats why we could hear more?? beats me, i dont know why these things happen out of nowhere??

your cursed.... Go sacrifice a bald goat over a burning ford, that should take care of your problems....

JFWY, sucks man... But thinking back my verter kinda did that the first few miles i put on it, then it went away, been giving it hell ever since

It's a very noticeable sound and it doesn't sound good at all

be glad you dont have a 80E.. that 1st whine is pretty loud when you put a quiet exhaust on there..
my dads 2500 has 220k miles on it and his 80E whine is horrific.

Never had a 60E/65E Whine tho...

Sorry to hear about your problem. I've just come to accept the fact that these things will just break down at any given time. The good news is that your truck is still running and got you home.
