OK...I use the purolator pure one, in my truck (don't have a part number), but when I looked at the insides of all the filters, the pureone looked the best, and I actually noticed an increase in oil pressure in my truck...I like the pure1, dollar for dollar I think its as good as the K&n or Mobile1, but the nice thing about the K&N is the 11/16th nut on the head of it...

For a couple years now I have been using a Canton Racing Products oil filter set-up. It includes a spin-on aluminum housing #25-232 and a replaceable filter element #26-000. I have also been using Royal Purple a little longer than the filter.

I bought it thru CV Products and have been buying the replacement elements from them as well. They are less expensive thru CV Products and they actually have them shipped directly from Canton to you. I deal w/ Tiny @ CV Products. He has always been real helpful.

25-232:

26-000:

I have had excellent results with these, the initial cost is a bit to swallow, but just elements after that.

LOL I'm just buying the Fram stuff from Autozone, and 6 qts of dino 10w-30. I figure if I get it every 3K it won't make much difference. I'll buy the Delco stuff if they have it, but they have been out of it the last couple times. Usually put Mobil 10w-30 in also, but they didn't have enough last time so I got Chevron.

Although - the dealer changed my oil every 3K miles until about 2 months ago. I figure if I can swap an engine I better be changing my own oil too

Prior to the products mentioned above, I used Mobil 1 and a Fram filter regularly.
I don't know if these products contribute to my truck's great service record or not, but, I just rolled over 180K miles.
I purchased the truck @ 9400 miles, installed the ProCharger, headers, exhaust and trans pak @ 70K, gears @ around 140K, Hotchkis TVS 2/4 @ around 150K, e-fans @ around 160K.
I run Royal Purple in the differential and transmission as well, changing to them when I changed gears.
To date, knock on wood, other than regular maintenance items, the only things that have failed me is tie rod ends, a front wheel sealed hub assembly and I am currently replacing front upper & lower ball joints and upper and lower control arm bushings, both sides on each to try and eliminate a tire wearing alignment problem.
Not one engine/drivetrain problem to date.

I use the M1-206, I guess that's the long version. It's longer than the reccomended Delco filter for my 2004.

I can't believe people who frequent any online message board pertaining to automobiles would still use a Fram filter. They are the biggest pieces of sh*t that you can buy, I have personally had one of them fail on my camaro. Someone told me to blame my high volume oil pump but I say it was the Fram..
