truck seems slower!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Default truck seems slower!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

took my truck for a test drive after installing my lt headers and the truck sems slower than it was also its a lot more quite than it was. this happen to any one else? why is this?

Sounds like you the put them on backwards

it feels slower cuz it's dumping fuel. You should get it tuned.

+1 for tuning. Justin @ Blackbear just did mine and its much more responsive now.

Yes. You don't have to tune it but you won't like it until you do. It'll feel loud and slow until you tune so the pcm doesn't dump more fuel than it needs to.

my truck sounded about the same with the long tubes, i still have the stock cats tho, it is alittle louder during idle and light throttle kinda has a light ticking sound like an exhaust leak but its not a leak its just the thin wall tubes from the headers transmit alot more noise from the combustion process than the stock cast iron manifolds. i did not notice much of a incress in power but after i had it tuned i gained around 25 horsepower and 30 or so foot pounds of torque. The guy that tuned my truck said that it was running alittle lean from my header install. so tune that thing!

mine felt quite a bit faster after installing LT's without tuning.
