Truck won't start, have fuel & spark, Need Help!
I have not been able get my truck started. I thought it was the fuel pump, but I checked the pressure. It was 49 psi, which is the same as my wife's Tahoe. So I assume it is okay for now. I checked my spark and looks good there. The thing I am concerned about is what is in my catch can. It looks like chocolate milk, and smells like gas. I have noticed it before, but I have not been driving it since November. Another thought was bad gas. I purged 5 gallons out, but I am not convinced it is bad gas. I also tried throwing some gas in the intake, and nothing happened. I switched batteries and no luck. I am really at a loss. Could it be a bad head gasket? Ground? Fuse? I have a TSP 228R if that helps.

Nope. I just hear the compression release when the exhaust valve opens. Actually, I found a fuse blown in the under the hood electrical box. It was SEO 1 15A, but I think that is going to solve another problem. It wants to start over now. Struggles, but just won't fire over. I tink it my be a combination of a weak battery and bad gas. ????

Assuming you have proper fuel feed (pressure and actual fuel to rails), presence of spark to ALL plugs, and all fuses are in tact, then I'd look to check your injectors to ensure they're functioning properly. Especially since you've not driven the vehicle since November.
For future info, I'd definitely use some type of fuel stabilizer if going to store for extended periods. But, I'm sure you knew that.

It was my plugs. I changed them and it started right up. I guess the old ones were fouled?
1Bad, I was telling myself all winter long, I need to get some fuel stabilizer. I never did. Luckily it was not the issue.

I'd start with the Cranksahft Position Sensor first. Then check your Ignition switch/cylinder. We have problems with the Passlock Sensor, located in the cylinder casing, all the time. Ignition switches are known to go bad with these trucks alot. Also, do you have any MILs like the security light on or anything?

Glad you got it fixed. Now go burn that old fuel out, and put some fresh fuel in.
