Default trucks 5th birthday

today is my trucks birthday. on 12/27/99 i bought my 1999 silverado. there were 2 left over 99's at the dealership. i had a choice of a blue LT Z71 EC fleetside, or a dark carmine red LS Z71 EC sportside. the sportside had everything i wanted, clothe seats, bedliner, foglights, running boards. i wasn't really looking for a sportside and running boards, but i ended up loving both.

the truck was priced over $32K. it might of been even closer to $33K. i ended up getting it for $27K. i finally payed it off a year ago. getting a new truck has crossed my mind since i want to mod something again from scratch, but i love this one alot. probably will keep it for a while.

No truck payments leaves ALOT of money for mods!! I usually keep car payments around $500 a month each so you could get a 6.0 with 2 or 3 months worth of payments. An STS would only be like 7-8 months of payments. That sounds like a pretty bad *** new truck to me!!
Oh.. Happy Birthday!

i thought about an STS. but i am not sure how much longer my truck will hold up. the tranny is taking alot of abuse from the yank.

my truck payments were $586. it feels good not to have that every month. over the last year with no payments, i have been able to save alot
