Default Trying To Keep Return-Style Fuel System...02' LQ4

I recently picked up an 07-08 4.8L and wanted to use the 243 heads and intake manifold on my 02' LQ4, but would rather not switch to a returnless-style system.

Can I simply buy aftermarket rails to avoid this? If so, what do people recommend?

Also, What are my options with a cable TB to fit the manifold? I've noticed people using the 90mm Edelbrock, but was wondering what everyones experience is with them and/or other brands.

You could add a fuel regulator and use the fuel rail on the new manifold , ( this is how my return system is setup) .

Also I have the edelbrock 90mm cable unit and it's been flawless , no probs and a quality unit .

Excellent, thanks for the advice

I spent all my current money on this engine, but I've already installed the flawless intake gaskets for my LQ4 and it worked wonders, especially now that it's winter and we've officially got 5-6 inches of snow.

What would you recommend for a FPR? I hear a lot of mixed reviews on a variety of aftermarket FPR's so I'm not sure which to go with.

I've had my fuel lab FPR for 3 yrs without a problem , so I can def recommend it. It's mounted on my firewall and with a couple of fitting adapters was easily plumbed into the NNBS fuel rail and stock return line .

I was told when I was doing my fuel setup on my RX7 (Aeromotive FPR) that NHRA doesn't allow FPRs mounted on the firewall in case something in the bellhousing blows. Have you had any trouble with tech inspection at the strip?

Could use aI modded vette fuel filter or find a ls2 truck manifold and use your stock rail
If your truck is an 02 all you need to run a 4 bolt dbw is a ls1-ls2 harness.

I was under the impression that the 07+ truck manifolds were virtually identical to the TBSS manifold, which I also assumed was a truck LS2 style manifold.

Also, if need be, I've got an 04' 2500HD parts truck that I could grab everything I need from. It's a returnless style with DBW TB, so it should have everything I need.
