Seems like you solved your own tangent

GM thermistors are almost all the same calibration, so you can use any closed element GM sensor and pig tail. I found the pins for Dan once, its a yellow/black and black wire in the trans harness- I am pretty sure. I will get back into this for you.

For gear indicator, I am not sure if I am going to the A pillar (I have factory match trim pods) or I if I am going to center console. TUTD is needed for me, and I think I have that solved with the vacancy of auto 4wd controls. I would like to add boost and gear indication, so those might be pillar mounted, and if I run WBO2 beyond tune sessions, I'll need to sort how its gonna fit

HPT I can't answer. Jim says just plug it in and its good, so IDK how HPT recognizes it

Sometimes I go down some rabbit holes on my own and then dig myself out. My google-fu is not so good.

I wouldn't do center console imo maybe where the airbag switch/cubby goes?

Yeah if you could find that it would be great. I think I have the sensor issue all sorted out to retain the factory gauges. I will try and e-mail him about the tuning aspect. I would figure that the whole point of the OBD-2 point is to read the codes on the trans and tune the TCM but who knows.

That is what the OBD port is for lol. Exactly what it's for

I am not eliminating any cubbies on my dash, and I have the center console that *had the slave cd player, and since that has been scrapped; I have space in the center console for toys

I mean I figured that's what it was for cx

I emailed the guys over at zerogravity and they did say that you would just hook up HPTuners to the second OBD2 port to tune the trans. He says that the PCM will read the trans is "there" but you will just tune with the TCM-2650. He has not replied to me about the credits portion yet though, just curious about it is all.

WELL, now that I know all of this after I finish all my current projects I will for sure be looking at doing a 6L80 swap. Now what do I care about more, paint or trans....

That's what Jim at Zero Gravity said. It will activate manual, sport and whatever else you have programmed

I'm reading thru the documentation and just wondering, what do you do with the black box that comes off the side of the 4l60? Does the harness that connects to it get plugged in some where else?
