I don't know how much the 261 cost me in total, but it was at least $1200

However!

I sold the 246: $400
the 4L60: $100 (same guy, he knows its a core. Gave him all the stuff I had for a 4L80 swap too because I ain't need it lol)
and the 241C for $450

So all in, maybe the 261 wasn't so expensive after all!

I still have 1 more GM case at the house if anyone wants it

Did it move?

Default adapting 4l60 neutral safety to 6l80

I had the idea of extending the shift post off the 6l80 and fab up a brace from the shift cable bracket to hold it still. But time hasn't been my friend
It's actually an easy fix. 10mm x 1.5 rod coupling, a cut off section of the 4l60 selector shaft and a 3/8 bushing

I actually started my truck and drove it down the highway from the shop to the house, about 12 miles. it shifted great, TC locked up in 5th and 6th like its supposed too, I'm still down cylinder just because of the wiring i jacked up, but I'm turning my attention to it after christmas. Fix the wiring and see if i can do the P\N safety switch thing from the previous post. I need to regear it. It still has 4.56 and was turning 2500 RPMs at 70, going to a 3.73\3.90. still gotta figure out the ABS\Speedo solution, i have a couple different things to try.

The TCM2600 puts out 2000ppm for the signal, in theory, i could run the speed output wire straight to the VSS signal wire and adjust the tune on the truck to match. Or try the dakota digital box that i already have but it requires more wiring and power and stuff. I'm gonna try and see.

We are hoping to test drive tonight, but it's snowing here in NM. Accumulations of up to ~1" so far

Which to you rust belt folks is nothing, but to us desert folk- that's enough to shut down the city aha

Just the thought of that much snow in the forecast would be enough to cause people in Dallas\Fort Worth to make a run on milk and bread, also shutdown everything.
