@firebladeJJ - what tire size are you running? I intend to do 4.88s on my rig with 35s

I fought for a few hrs, we didn't get a test drive in unfortunately- but we do have reverse and first!

T-case shifts almost too easy. Might shim the detent spring

The pullied blower with the new impeller is fawking LOUD, can't wait to get that all connected and quieted down lol

11.5qts to fill trans, after using a little less than 1/2qt to fill the converter. So 12qts total, ish. I initially filled with 10+ converter and we had 0 gears. Checked trans, no oil on stick. Added additional and all was well 🤷‍♀️

I don't have a cooler yet, I simply built a loop on the cooler fittings because I need to build some stuff up front to mount the cooler I want to run

So, not a huge update- except that my truck will move under her own power for the time being! We will drive her tomorrow, promise

Add one extra quart of fluid to the 6l80. They need it to shift under a big load and power.

Well, we gave it our all! Got all the way to 3rd gear even lol. Don't know how many computers you kids tune with, but we like 2, minimum ahaha

VSS works, as expected- because I am 4wd and the pick up is in the t-case. The VSS internal to the trans (after calibrating) matches the VSS from my PCM, so there is hope for you 2wd folk, I think

TUTD did work, until it didn't. All the gears worked, until they didn't lol. Turns out you can unplug the TCM2650 and still get reverse and I think 3rd. So, you can move the truck without a controller. At least

At some point, the controller stopped commanding gear. Its a pressure issue, but turns out.... tuning pressure in this Windows DOS based software isn't easy. Fluid is still full (after adding another qt, for 13ish total), so more to investigate there

TPS is an issue on the controller as well. We cannot write the appropriate values to the TCM2650. Its like the hard limits in the TCM are not rewriteable. Also looks like Jim at Zero did not load a functional map. Digital inputs are all wrecked, analog inputs don't match the schematic and the solenoid request charts make 0 sense. Unsure what to do. We are calling PCS on Monday to ask them for a base file that works, or at least walk down what we are seeing and ask for help

All in, she moved! And she can get around on her own, so moving her in and out of the shop for SAS during Christmas will be doable

Little bummed it didn't go as well as I hoped

The 6l80 is almost as bad as an Allison when you relearn shift adapts, they flare and do weird ****.

Man,
I came in here hoping to see multiple people successful in doing the swap. Guess I am along for the ride now. This is something I have really been looking into.
