I have been monitoring your thread for some time!

I have swapped a 6l90 into my truck. I am using the tcm2650 but the set up is behind a diesel. I ran into the same issues with the inputs.. I had to wire the brake switch to a relay to close the contact for the TC to lock and unlock. The input was also wrong in the set up with the wiring through zero gravity..

Also... monitor the diagnostic lights while you are driving to see if anything is not adding up.

I had it on the highway a bunch and got all six gears. But under boost and heavy acceleration I had it lock out 5-6. And also 3-4 shift flares. So I belive the torque model in the pcs software is not accurate to my set up so that is making it do things it's not expecting thus causing the limp mode. A re set of the key and I have them all again. I want it to work under wide open throttle though!

What stall are you using??

I can chip in with where i am at but it is still not completed..

I am using a stock converter. For my use cases, the tighter the better. I am regearing the axles to get it snappy off the line

seems like I was able to brake stall it ~1600rpm

Right on.

I also noticed in my set up, not having torque management, the gears hit each other pretty damn hard. On my first shake down a month or two ago. I did a wide open throttle run from a stop and 1-2-3 were hitting so darn hard. I thought I was going to blow a u joint or shear the input shaft off the transmission. So be prepared to have to work on that. I'm not sure if the pcs unit can communicate a torque reduction signal to the 99-06 pcm. I am using an aftermarket controller for my meredes diesel that has a lot of options but it is something I am also going to be working on.. You will know what I mean when it happens. What have you done with the pcs torque map? Have you tuned the t43 to knock off the lock up in the lower gears?

Damn man that sounds like a an AWESOME project! OM606? I really explored that idea for my Ranger, but the cost got to be way too high (on paper) so I settled back on the LS swap or nothing idea

Do you have any pics of info on your build? would love to check it out!

As for the trans tuning, I am not actually doing the tuning- I am letting my tuner do it all. We are going to try HPTuners next, but I need to get my truck wrapped up with the new gears and solid axle swap first

Yeah it seemed like a good idea at first, but in reality the om606 has no engine torque off the line so this is why I pigeon holed myself into a 6l90 with a favorable first gear and a high stall converter. Finding the proper converter has been a real hassle, I am kinda meh on the Circle D I am using as well. I already had to return it once! It is significantly better this time around though.

Yes its an om606.

Its compounded, im running around 45 psi. He351cw into an l3b turbo.

Another thing I would like to add is. I had issues trying to program with efi live over the supplied obdii port on the tcm 2650 harness. It was making too much noise to communicate at all. My autel ms908p can see the t43 no problem. I had to make a programming cable that goes directly into the transmission to read the t43 as well as write to it. So perhaps you should go to a wrecking yard just in case and get the things required to make your own.. it could be different with hp tuners tho..

Thank you for that feedback. I can try that! do you have a schematic that you used or found to make your own harness?
