Well guys.... I decided to throw more money at the problem

I waited until I bought the 1 they claimed was in stock before I posted. But it was on sale, $475 off- and according to multiple ppl with several 1000hp+ builds each, there was no way to reliably do what I was trying to do with the 0411 and TCM2650

Still unknown if my trans is hurt or the controller needs to be reconfigured for apply pressures at idle, but I plan to send my trans out anyway to get more parts thrown at it, because I have turbo 408 towing adventures ahead of me 🩶

Brandon doesn't know it just yet, but my trans is going to him for beef cake parties <3

And it's Brandon's fault I even knew about the Holley, but I blame my tuner for me buying it because he's the one who found it on sale. I bought that while I was gridlocked on my commute home yesterday lol

But yeah a couple months ago I called Brandon and we talked for 30-45mins and he just had very little good to say about the TCM2650 and what I plan to do. He mentioned he could build me a bad *** trans, but then I'd be handicapping it in his opinion with the lack of ability to control it effectively

yeah, I'm still around, just doing Jeep\dirt bike stuff this year, I've only driven my truck about 100 miles since the swap and the 2650 had to be unpluged and plugged back in every time I start it....not really a way to plug and play. I'm thinking about changing to a GenIV engine\6l80 combo and using some sort of Holley engine\trans mission controller to make this swap work properly

Good.

I'd like to see that, would be pretty cool. Maybe a Gen V though...

That guy can build one hell of a 6l80. Mine is still going strong.

I have 2 friends with turbos running the term x, both came from an 0411 pcm, and they love it

I have a project going now where I'm using it too, I have high hopes

I think I have a pretty solid plan to run my 0411 simply as a gauge driver, before stepping into the printed bezel/6.86" screen world

Based on what I *think* I understand, the only signal I will need to split is the RPM signal

-BCM comms: unchanged, ABS, BRAKE, Oil Change, door ajar- etc should still remain functional
-Voltage: unchanged
-Fuel level: unchanged
-Trans temp: already added bung and sensor to feed 0411 to feed cluster
-Oil Pressure: unchanged
-VSS: already pulls off the t-case (the 6.86 is GPS, I don't think the Holley cares about VSS, but not fully understood by me yet)
-ECT: add second sensor to passenger head, feed to 0411
-Tach: Only thing I think I need to split

If splitting the tach creates a bunch of noise or issues, I think I can pull a trick out of the Cummins swap book and put a trigger on the crank pulley with a second/separate sensor and that can be for the gauges only

I do think the digital dash is in my future, but I gotta be honest..... Holley proud AF of that thing aha. I have a BTI dash for my MR2 that seems to have about 3000 more functions, including built in traction control- and the Holley is nearly 2x the cost lol
