Default VHT Track Bite!

Has anyone bought a gallon of this stuff and experimented with it on street tires? Just wondering if it worked at all.

street tires dont get the same effect as drag tires due to the fact that they are a harder compound. But if your wanting just to do burnouts it looks pretty cool but a little expensive just to play with.

I was wanting to use it for the track...not to do burnouts.

Not really going to help you then maybe if you lower your air presure enough you may get it to work but your street radials are alot harder than drag radails or even slicks.

At the ghetto track around here, they mop the first few feet of the track with that stuff after every couple passes, and you can hear their shoes sticking when they walk so it must work pretty good. How much is it per gallon? I am not sure how it would work, do you just wipe it on the tires?

You can either wipe it on or pour a little in front of your tires and then do a quick burnout on it. This heats it up and lets it stick to your tires. I hear it works, but we'll see. Summit Racing has it cheaper per gallon i think.

then when you get into the real street racing for big bucks they two stripes a little wider than the tiresfor like 10 foot. they will then either light the vht on fire or heat it up with a torch. tthey will do a burn out in a little puddle at the beginning of the two stripes then line up. you have sticky traction for 10 foot.
