Im really not trying to be a dick here but i guess I along with all of these other people on here are getting tired of seeing some kid talking about ragging on his parents cars and hauling *** and all the other stupid **** you have said. If you havent realized, not one person has said, "oh man, thats bad ***". Why... CAUSE ITS NOT!! If you were my kid, you wouldnt even be washing my car let alone driving it. Id tell you if you want a car when you turn 16 or 18 or whatever age you wanna start driving legally, you can go mow some yards and save up the cash to buy you one yourself. I think your outlook on the whole car thing will change once you start paying for something yourself. And dont think for one second i didnt go through what you did to an extent. I did! We have all been kids once just starting to drive. I wasnt as bad as you sound but i was bad. You get to a point where you realize how ignorant and stupid you were or are and you decide to change. I guess its that little thing called maturity. You will get there one day. Maybe it will be awhile for you still but maybe these posts should tell you something.....

You are definitely the kid thats going to learn the hard way with your attitude!

This has been just too funny. Someone somewhere is just laughing his butt off with the fun he is having writing this stuff.

Seriously though, his vivid fictional accounting of his driving habits are nothing worse than any of us did at that age. I got my license in 1956 at the age of 15 and ran the hell out of my mothers 55 Chevy and then her 58 Chev 348 W motor.

In my 20s I had some fast stuff as a product of the muscle car era. My first new car was a 63 Impala SS 409/400. I also had a 67 Corvette 427/435 and a 70 Buick Stage I 455.

When my son turned 16 and got his license, I followed the advice of my insurance company (USAA) and dedicated a vehicle specifically for him as principal driver. The advice is that a teenager's vehicle should be OLD, SLOW, and UGLY, so he drove a 13 year old Chevy PU 2WD longbed std size tires and some cancer and light body damage from work use.

I bought him a better vehicle when he went to college, a 4year old Chevy S10 blazer 4WD but with the 2.8 V6.

Well he is 32 now, takes care of his own stuff, works on his own stuff, has never had an accident or a ticket and has never driven like I did.

But he also has no idea waht it is like or how to shift a 4 speed Muncie on the wood behind a 427 rat with a diaphragm cluch at 7200.

Damn, I am starting to get all choked up here remembering those days. We did not think they would ever end. But they did.

Now, they are back and the equipment is faster than ever. The general is building some really strong motors. It is amazing what head design and roller lifters can do.

Gotta stop this because I am running out of tissues.

Wait till you young guys have a wife and kids that depend on you for everything... you'll gain an entire new perspective on what 'responsibility' is... 'cause it isn't just paying for your own gas and modifications

There's a number of times in my life when I thought I had it all figured out, then I grew up and realized just how much I had to learn

Why do you have my real name and sn in your sig I would appreciate it if you would take that out of there. Not a big deal for people to know me on a first name basis but I would rather not have my full name out there for everyone to see.

ok, i might as well put my 2 cents in here, everyone else has, but ya man, im 18, and when i was in high school in my junior year, i thought i was a badass driver too, always speeding, swerving through cars, but man, trucks are big ******* vehicles, i came very ******* close to flipping my truck, i didnt see this car stopped in the road when i was getting over, i slammed on the brakes and turned hard to the left, my truck skidded on its side for over 40 feet, i hopped up on the median and broke both of my passenger rims and bent my rear axle, im just lucky the whole ******* 5000lbs didnt start flipping once i hit the median, i guess the lesson her man is just, watch it, i used to think i was the **** all the time but theres always **** in the road, u may be a good driver but theres plenty of other stupid ************* that dont know how to drive so for the 100th time, slow down and drive slow, theres always a time to haul ***

All my crazy driving is in parking lots and sand pits (where I can only hurt myself and my ego).... on the road I'm a very responsible driver. You may think you know how to drive... but even the best out there get caught off guard... why do you think race car drivers get in crashes... and they are at the top of the list
