VR Straps tailgate straps?
Ok, I've searched around a bit and still can't find out if VR Straps is still in business. They sell the solid hinge type tailgate straps like on the older trucks not the POS cables that come on them now.
I'd like to try and get a set but, the website I find for them is not working.
www.vrstraps.com
Anyone have any contact info for them or even know if they're still in business? Post up.
Thanks

He posted on another site that his original website got hijacked. I've had my straps for at least a year now and they are great. I just went in yesterday and traded in the old cables for the new stainless ones. I plan to remove the VR straps and put the cables back on the Av when I decide to get rid of it.

I'm not planning on getting rid of the Avalanche anytime soon, I'm gettin ready to install a Radix. I just don't see any reason to give the $50 away when I can put the stainless cables back on it when I'm ready to get rid of it.
I'm not worried about the tailgate falling with the VR straps in place. It's worth the $50 for my peace of mind knowing I can have 3 people sitting on the tailgate or load 4-wheelers, etc., without worring about the cables snapping. You'll break the bolts before the VR straps give way and I dno't think that's much of an issue.
