Water pump Install??

all you need is:
flat head screwdriver or a 8mm socket/ratchet for the intake tube / unhook the maf
15mm wrench or socket to take the belt off
10mm socket for the water pump bolts and tstat bolts
pliers to remove the hoses

Ok, I never have really looked to see what was involved in changing a waterpump on the ls motor. It looked like you had to pull all the other stuff off as well. It was half dark and really cold earlier when I was looking at it. My concern was running into issues and not being able to mess with it until next monday

You should have no problems easy fix but I've done a few did my last one on side of road but I carry tools to just about everything should take you little over a hour by yourself before you start rtv your new gaskets on the new pump so its seting up while your takn out your old one

$20 gets you a Haynes book. I keep mine in the truck JIC.

It's easy. Get a stubby 15mm wrench also. There's one bolt behind the power steering(I think) that is hard to get to, but can be done with a stubby 15 mm. If it was me, I'd drain the radiator, and just refill with fresh fluid since you've got 8x,xxx miles on it.

It is the easiest swap you will ever do. Takes probably 30-45 min, an hour if you go slow.

With a truck with electric cooling fans its a breeze. Usually its only the gaskets leaking in most cases.
