Alright guys, no need to pull my man card,lol..... I have limited time, mainly because I have been working my dana 60 and 14bolt ff conversion on my k-5. I got some more things to do on it tomorrow before I start days on friday..I simply wanted to know how much time I needed to do it, or just take it and have it changed due to time constraints. I really appreciate the info and the comments.

Super easy, one of the easiest water pumps I've done, it looks like a bitch but its just deceiving. It fits very nicely with the other accessory brackets and there's no overlap. The chintzy gaskets they came with harden up and become ineffective, its a pretty common problem. Make sure your local parts store has a pump on hand though just in case the pump ends up being bad ya know

When you pull it, check the little weep hole in the bottom, they sometimes like to leak from there. The one on my truck has been leaking out from there for a while, I just haven't gotten around to swapping it.

Well, I pulled the old water pump out and I think the problem was a bad gasket on the drivers side (pretty nasty looking). But without knowing exactly what the issue was beforehand, I went the safe route and replaced the water pump anyway with a new gm ac delco pump. It was by far the easiest pump I have ever changed, and gave me easy access to changethe ac belt. Thank you all for the info

I hope your not suggesting he remove the PS /ALT bracket off.

It's very easy, but if it has been leaking, then a bolt or two might be corroded. I had to buy two new bolts when mine sprung a leak. Still on the factory pump with who knows how many miles now.

I had to clean the bolts, they were pretty nasty. You could defintely tell the gasket on the drivers side was the culprit though. It didn't need a new pump really, but I figured I should replace it since it was the original pump and I had a brand new one ready to go.

Good, now it's done. It was easier than you thought it was, wasn't it?
