Default Weak *** kill tonight, funny ending though

Sorry for the long post, but details are the key to story telling.

In my town, my old 4.8L was considered pretty quick. That's how slow the competition on trucks is here. Anyway, very few people knew about the swap until tonight. Got a weak *** kill, but a kill anyway. I was minding my own business sitting at a stoplight when this early model Tahoe filled with youngsters pulls up beside me. Immediately, they start power braking and revving. I kinda laugh it off, because I know these things are pretty much pigs. Of course they take off at green light. I let them get way ahead of me and I just kinda play them off. Well, of course they hit the brakes and wait for me to come up on them. I'm up to about 40mph, side by side, and they hit it again. You know I couldn't let them think they owned me, so I romped down on it. I honestly thought they hit the brakes when we went by them. My girlfriend loves it. She couldn't believe the difference a fresh swap makes. Well, somewhere over 90, I realize I'm slightly speeding so I brake it down. They finally catch back up and I romp again when they make it to my bumper to see if I can hold them off with a good roll. They never made it by my door and I blast on them again. I pull into a gas station to talk to one of my friends and the Tahoe pulls in behind us. The kid runs over to my window and says, "Dude, I just have to shake your MF hand. That was freakin crazy." Shakes my hand and wants to check out the truck. Kid had no idea what he had bitten into. Well, I think everybody now knows because as I sat there, I got revs from everything that went by. It's going to be a fun fall and winter!

Hasn't quit raining long enough to make a trip to the track. Our track is only open on Saturday nights, and as luck would have it, it has rained both Saturdays since the swap was done. The slickies are coming this week, so it better not rain Saturday, or I'm taking the ETs to the street!!!
