what do i need to get run LOW 12's, maybe even get into the 11's?
ive been searching around, trying to find good setups. and havent found exactly what im looking for..like the title says..but im trying to do it without forced induction. i have the stuff in my signature and plan on ordering 4.10's and true trac next. then on to power making parts..but what? i was thinking stage 2.5 heads and a good cam? i seen a member running 12.20's with basically the same setup as me with the 2.5 heads and a good cam. whats everyones take??

6L swap with heads and cam will get you consistent mid 12s, then add a decent shot for 11s. Trust me its gonna be harder than you think to get low 12s with a 5.3, do the 6L swap before you waist alot of time and money..

well 6.0 swap isnt going to happen yet..but theres a future for that..but for now. im going to beat up on the perfictly good 5.3 that in the truck now..so low 12's on a 5.3 isnt goin to happen N/A..so what could i run with heads/cam and bolt on's?

That being said, a cammed/stalled/bolt on 5.3 single cab normally runs 13.1-13.5, but a large majority on PT still only manage 13.5-14.0s with the same setup.
H/C and all the bolt ons, you SHOULD run 12.6-12.90s, but again, plenty of people can put together the correct combo and would still only run 13.0-13.5 with heads and cam. Those numbers would be with slicks, good traction, nice weather, low DA etc. etc.

PLUS, the DA down there at nighttime when you guys run is WAY better than most of these guys even understand. There is probably .3-.5 tenths just in the awesome weather alone.
What kind of converter and cams were in those trucks? 4.56s or 4.10s? What kind of heads? Were those on Bogarts also?
