My power windows in my 04 roll up and down slow as hell. What do you spray into the tracks that last a long time and help speed them up? I didn't want to do anything until I heard from the pro's here

I used some teflon grease stuff that my dad had laying around just make sure you dont get any on something that will touch the felt cause it will cause a MESS! Your local parts store should be able to point you in the right direction i dont remember what he name of it was though.

I've read in a few places that some of these new trucks are shipping out with junk power window motors and regulators in them. Is this true? I hope my truck doesn't have junk power window motors in it. Anyone else have to have their window motors replaced already?

i been debating what it is for a while now and i think if you beefed up the power wire going to the pass. side motor adn switches it would be alot faster casue mine starts out fast and gets slow after a second or less i'm thinkin it's to far of a wire run and is alot of resistance for whatever gauge wire i seen other fullsize gm's the same problem, anyways one day i iwll get around to tearing into it till then i'll prolly just armorall or wd-40 the tracks lol

Yours is identical to mine. my drivers side is fine but when I do the pass side, it goes down ok, but when coming up it's slower than the drivers side and gets slower as it gets towards the top. hmmmm. Maybe if I bring it in it'll be considered "normal"

I put silicone spray in the tracks for the window every time i wash my truck. I had a window motor go bad and when i had it replaced the guy said these gm motors and regulators suck. He was the one who recomended the silicone spray, said it will speed them up, and put less strain on the motor so it will last longer.

i have done the same. tracks meaning the rubber guide of the window. it helps but like stated it will have to be re applied. O and the bigger power wire dont work. i have a 12ga. going to mine.
