there's a truck here at work that has a little "key" type deal that you can remove easily that's really just a switch that goes between the ignition and starter. basically you can still put the key in and turn, but no power to the starter solenoid. really, if you can't start the bitch, it aint goin nowhere, just get a switch to go between the starter and the ignition, like a little pushbutton one that's hidden real good. if you had some kind of complex wiring to the starter they still couldn't start it hot-wiring it or w/e.

train horns are very effective too
that and the james bond fire shooting out from under the door

I wouldn't worry about it! Your motor or trans is gonna blow as soon as the take it so they won't get too far. J/K man!

Usually you have to state an amount so you can get back what you have in it. You will usually have to list most of your big expensive stuff. It will cover anything from your radio and amps to motor and tranny swaps. I added $10,000 in additional coverage for my 1991 and it was about $40 bucks a year more than I was paying.
did this with my other car. i added the "aftermarket equiptment" coverage or whatever the ins. company calls it. make sure you keep all your receipts for the parts on your truck, so if it ever gets stolen, you have proof of the mods that were on your truck. even if the truck is gone and not recovered, you get most of your money back.

You're talking about these, i have one and it works just fine. All you do is replace a relay(starter, fuel pump, ignition) with the relay they send you. Then when you start your truck just push the button on the remote on your keychain then start your truck. Nostart immobilizers. It doesn't cut the power so your radio doesn't gotta be reset. Easy as hell to use and install.
