So about $64-65 bucks for 10K miles on Mobil 1 and wix
Where the hell are you paying $14 for a wix filter at?
$6.99 for Wix 51522 at Oreillys

Amsoil filters are garunteed for 25,000 miles or one year but even if i had to buy a quart of oil in between oil changes id still be looking at less than $100 for an oil change thats good for a year, far less than Castrol GTX/Fram oil changes for a year

I used royal purple for the longest time, but now use mobile 1 cause my wife's GTO calls for it, so we can buy in bulk. Amsoil is the **** from what I hear. go for it! If I could get it without ordering it, I would use it.

OH BTW....my oil filters are FREE!!! he he. Its nice working for a dealer sometimes.

yeah, i think im going to bite the bullet and do it when i swap engines, go to Amsoil everything. oil, filter, coolant, grease, tranny fluid, gear oil, and posi additive, it'll be an expensive initially but hopefully be worth it.

I just changed to penzoil platinum and a fram extended guard filter good to 10,000 miles. I'll probably change the oil 6500-7500.

Eaten and GM say no additive in a truck G80 diffenterial. The truck uses a locking diff while cars use a limited slip. They both use the RPO G80.

From GM...

***Important: Installing any friction modifier causes the clutch pack in the locking differential to slip and miss engagement. A fluid flush can often remove debris that is a contributor to clutch chatter. Adding friction modifier additive can cause a loss of locking differential functionality***

you probably wont find it in a store, the company is operated by individuals who sell the products. why must you be able to buy it in a store to use it?
