As long as you get some that are done right and are well balanced its okay IMO.
I picked up a set of adapters for my blazer to go from 5x4.75 to 5x5 but never used them. Still sitting in a box in my room.

I would never run 2 inch wheel spacers. I think you're asking for troubles with them(vibrations, wheels loosening, extra stress on bearings). I know others will say they've been "running them for years.....", but I've seen what happens when things go wrong.

I'd say your best option would be to bite the bullet and get new wheels... With a two inch spacer how much thread do you have left on your studs? I have used a few spacers on my cj and cracked them all within a month. I also do alot of hardcore wheeling with it. I had to get a new set of wheels anyways

gonna try and see how small of spacer i can go with gonna put one wheel on the front to see how big spacer i need might just be able to take the dust cap of the front wheel bearing or dent it in, on the back all i need is just a 1/2 inch to get away from the frame so the tire doesnt rub

+1, not a good idea IMO, I've had trucks come into the shop through the years with wheel spacers complaining about vibrations and I always tell them to come back with either the factory wheels or wheels with the proper back-spacing, if they still have the vibration after removing their current wheels and spacers.

If you dont have the money for the correct rims, you dont have the money for the soon coming repairs... Ive had wheel 2" spacers for 3 years on my 14" wide welds. I only use them for show and nothing else. I still regret buying them but cant really justify selling them and still use them occasionally.
