WHT Octane for LQ9?

Default WHT Octane for LQ9?

Wht octane should i be running i have 2004 VHO wtih the LQ9 owners manual say 87. I thought the LQ9 took higher octane fuel. any feed back would be helpful. thks

if the owners manual says 87 then its ok to run 87..91 wouldnt hurt ya though

According to what I saw on the LQ9, it takes 91....but I was told even the LS2 can run on 87. So there's no reason the LQ9 can't go on 87.

The owners manual for the LQ9 says 91 octane and higher recomended, but not required. Your manual should show something seperate for the Vin N LQ9. If you run less than that you will end up in the low octane table and end up getting less performance and less milage.
