I mod my truck because it's really fun working on a vehicle. It makes me feel good to work on my truck, weather changing oil, cleaning my intake, or bolting in a Nelson tuned PCM. It's all fun and an addiction. If I didn'thave anything to mod or work on, I would be bored out of my mind.

I planned on lowering my truck and putting 20's. 3 years later, I ask "what happened" Went to the track one time and then looks didn't mean much anymore. The power makes my truck fun to drive. I think its funny to walk away from new mustangs and 5.0's in an ecsb with 22's. I say its all about the element of suprise, people don't know what to say. I beat an LT1 camaro and embarassed a guy and his gf because he thought his car was the ****.

I agree - I enjoy cleaning polishing my toys.
Getting something back from a chromer or powdercoater
Like Christmas all the time.
cheaper than crack and a wife.
and keeps me out of the bars ( somewhat )

I've been through 3 decently fast cars in the last 8yrs and I just got kind of tired of it and wanted to do something different. I sold the Mustang, you have to run 8s in one now to get any real recognition.

The T/A was gonna get sold so it was put back to stock, that fell through so now it's my daily driver as of last week. It used to be fast

I just love embarassing sports cars in my overweight pig of a 4x4. It's fun when people don't expect the impossible. Funny hitng is though, that's how import racing started off. People didn't expect a little Civic to beat a beefy Camaro or Mustang. Now you have to be careful what you race.

To answer the question. I had no intention of modding the truck to this extent. I bought it for fishing, towing a horse trailer, taking the girlfriends dirt bike off road, and for haulin junk for the house.

Oct issue I beleive, of truckin in 1998 had a right up on moss's 6.0 Sunburst gold metallic Step side.
I said thats what I want to build.
The following january I ordered mine.
Almost 6 years later I still don't have a 6.0l

I did actually have to use my truck at first for the usually work stuff.
And It was fun on the weekends running the 14's not far from stock.

Ram Air Ta/s are my favorite, I really want to get one someday but i'm glad I have something unique(up here in the boonies that is)

Not them thar, too many low riders round these parts.

I really should have bought a TA. Man, that thing would be a beast! I didn't intend on going "performance" with the truck. I was going bags, shaved, on "big" wheels with a killer system, etc. Then I got directed to you A-holes and now I'm broke all the time, I go out looking for races instead of going to bed early, I get pulled over for no particular reason, and I get calls at all hours of the night wanted to race my truck...... Thanks guys!

ya, up here in the Tundra, you got to love a sleeper truck. never had any performance intentions, just a few cosmetics. first mod was the K&N FIPK. then it snowballed from there
