Default Why are my passenger door electronics not working?

I got in my '03 extended cab today after it sat for 3-4 days, and the power locks remote didn't unlock the truck. Then when I got inside I tried using the switch on the door to unlock the passenger side door for my brother, which didn't work either. Nothing on the door works anymore, the power mirrors, the locks, the windows, the dome light doesn't come on when you open the passenger door, and it doesn't say passenger door ajar anymore when the door is open.

Does anyone have any idea of what could be wrong? My brother thinks it's the door control module, cause this kinda stuff happened to VW's when he would service them...

thanks in advance, John

You prob. got a fuse that popped. Maybe something shorted out thru the cigarette lighter port??? Are all three of your ac/lighter ports in the dash working? If all 3 aren't working, check the fuses both in the side of the dash fuse panel and the one under the hood. Your owners manual will help lead you to it if nec.

the entire passenger door is on one fuse on the 2003+ trucks

also, the power window control module IS the recieving unit for the remote keyless, so until it has power you won't have remote keyless... in short: check your fuses

Does anyone know exactly which fuse the passenger door is on? We looked under the hood fuse box and in the side dash one the night it happened, and we couldn't find a fuse for the passenger side door. There was one for "L door" or something like that, but wouldn't that be the driver side door?

So if someone had a diagram of the fuse box showing which one it was, that would be greatly appreciated

Thanks, John
