Default Will a 3" body lift level the truck?

Okay... taxes are back, time to spend some money. My question is will a 3" body lift level out the truck as well, or would I have to get the leveling kit also? I want it to sit even, lifted or not. ALSO, if I just go with the leveling kit (no lift), what would be my max tire size? I don't go offroading (regularly), so I wouldn't worry about tire rub in extreme conditions. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

firs of all and most important what kind of truck do you have?
this could go in many dirrections.

a body lift just rases the body so the truck will still be un level.

if you have a z71 you can simply crank the torsion bars to level it although your ride will suffer.

if you have a 2wd then you could simply get shackles.

If you crank on the torsion bars keep in mind that it's been known to cause other problems with the front end if you crank them very much. What kinda truck is it?

Oh yeah... '03 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71. Extended cab short box. I've heard about the torsion bar thing, but I also know that there is a leveling kit that I can buy, so my ride won't suffer as much... lotsa pot-holes in my area. Just trying to decide if I want to lift it, or just bring the front up a couple of inches.

If you want it level, but lifted some, just install a 2" body lift and some 2" lowering shackles in the rear.

The rear shackles will level the frame/suspension, and the body lift will lift the entire body 2" relative to the frame.

If you are talking about the Hill 4WD leveling kit, or any other leveling kit, don't waste the money. It is a set of Ford torsion keys that have the part number grinded off and the price marked up. If you want to go that route do what I did and go order the keys from Ford. I think they were 22 dollars a piece.
