Wrecked my truck, is it automatically totalled because of water damage?
#20
We drive GMC vans with boxes at work. 2 months after we got it, 2 summers ago, another crew drove it into a flooded street, not realizing it was a 3 foot deep flooded street. It got towed out, brought to the dealership for a few fixes, and given back to us.
The truck, needless to say,has gotten the nick-name Sh*t-box, since it takes forever to start, the electrical is all screwy, and nothing works anymore: A/C (or any climate control for that matter), steering is all messed up, brakes are junk even after being fixed countless times. Meanwhile, it's twin brother, bought with the Sh*t-box still runs like a champ...
Needless to say is: Water is the real enemy, and you're only going to get screwed (like i am with my truck) if you don't fight to the death to get it totaled (assuming they don't do it on their own).
