I'm 46 and am a Quality Engineer for a Tier One automotive seating supplier. I did the Manager's bit for 8 years and decided I'm not politically-correct enough to do that job! I like to call a spade a spade and that's not conducive to longevity in a Management position.
After browsing about half of this thread, I agree with whitt1 - I feel old compared to most of this group.

I am 20 years old and my dad just retired after 30 years and now Im getting promoted to V.P. of the constuction company, same amount of work and responsibilities just a different title and maby a different salary
