Default your combos discuss

hey dont know if theres a post like this or not but lets try it out....

please list ALL your mods and type of rig you have along with what numbers youre producing and what times your running.

if you dont have any current times or numbers, then specify what the last setup was and what it ran.

this way members can see what they could be getting into and what they should run

also discuss if wanted more or if your setup now is too much and etc

K,thanx

waiting on trans to get fixed and finish working out the bugs and get some passes.

My current combo is a bit different than the norm.

'01 Ext Cab Z71:

Engine: 5.3L stock L33 HO Pistons 10.8:1 CR, stock internals.
Mods:
Synergy Motorsports 226/.589/116 Cam
GTP Stage 2+ Heads lots of milling/welding to drop compression (from my T/A)
Radix Supercharger w/ 3.70 pulley for a max of 5.6psi or avg. of 5psi.
4L80E conversion (junkyard unit)
Custom Steel Driveshaft
PI TQ Converter (supposed to be 3000 but only flashes to 2300)
Nick Williams 90mm Throttle Body
AEM Intake pipe
AS&M LTs
Custom Dual Exhaust w/ Dynomax Bullets
42lb 8.1L injectors
255lph inline fuel pump
Stock 3.73 gears
High Flow Cats

Before the 90mm TB I put down 433rwhp, 408rwtq on 4.8psi-5.6psi. Best run to date is 13.52@104.3mph 2.0 60' ran in 4wd on 265/75/16 tires. Retuning for the TB and some KR issues at launch and will try for new #s.

Old Combo

Engine: Stock 5.3L LM7 8.6:1 CR
Mods:
Synergy Motorsports turbo cam
Stock 6.0L heads
STS Turbo GT67 w.81 exhaust housing 13-15psi
Stock 4L60E w Transgo Shift kit
Yank TT3000 (actually flashed to 3500 or so)
Stock exhaust and manifolds
AlkyControl Methanol kit
Custom FMIC
42lb 8.1L injectors
255lph inline fuel pump
Stock 3.73 gears
No Cats

Never got to dyno the truck after all the final tuning and mods but ran 12.33@110mph 1.85 60' on a slipping trans and 14.5psi with C16 race gas (no tuning for race gas, it was just for safety). calcs say 110mph at a raceweight of 5250lbs = 550rwhp *shrug*

My current setup

Motor is a 2003 LQ9 Longblock, Comp 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa, Comp 918s, TSP Pushrods, Pacesetter LT's, OR Y-Pipe, cutout, 8.1 injectors, Futral Dyno Tune, K&N Fipk, Cold Fusion LS1 Wet Kit 125shot

I pulled 472rwhp/545rwtq before the cam and injectors on the 125 shot, I should be over 500rwhp once its tuned for the cam.

Trans is a Built 02 4L60E, this trans has been in and out of my truck about 4-5 times now, but I think its finally gonna hold up lol. I currently have a TCI3000 converter. I used to run a PI3800 but it was too much converter for a truck and it slowed me down.

Rear end is the stock 10-bolt with 3.42s and a powertraxx locker. This will be replaced by a Eaton Posi Unit, and a set of 3.90 gears next month since the current setup is on its last leg.

Suspension is DJM lcas up front and a DJM 6" flip kit out back.

Once I install the rest of the bolt-ons im doing, get it tuned, and geared it should be good to go.

New new numbers with new setup since its not done, Old Setup: Stock 6.0L, Stock Converter, Stock Intake, Stock Tune, Stock Injectors netted me 13.43 @ 100mph N/A and 12.50 @ 112mph on the 125 shot.

Hopefully i can get the rest of my setup done next month and have it runnning some 12s N/A and 11s on the gas.

All of this is in a 2002 RCSB whcih weighs around 4400-4500lbs.

No times or numbers for the new setup yet, but my old one was:

2001 Ext Cab Z71
5.3 (LM7) - Stock bottom end, 9.4:1 CR
Vinci Trucker cam (210/218-551/551-116)
Crane 1.8 roller rockers, .583 net lift
Radix, 3" pulley, somewhere around 10 psi
Alkycontrol 50/50 water/meth mix
ASM longtubes, gutted cats, Corsa cat-back
Built 4L60E (went through 6 of them), stock converter
Nelson tune
e-fans
3.73 gears
13.57 @ 99 best, 1.92 60' launching in 4hi
365 rwhp, 410 rwtq, tune was way rich. Never got it dynoed with a good tune, but there was definitely some power left on the table.

Im interested to see how you do with that setup, I had a 233/233 .595/.595 112lsa cam to go along with the PI3800, but never installed it due to the fact of how unhappy I was with the converter. Only reason I didnt complete that setup was becuase I was short on money and didnt have time to test n tune a setup I had never seen before, so I basically just copied slowprocess's proven setup. Good luck, Let me know how it does once the trans is in.

damm, it would of been nice to see your setup like that one. it was very similar if you had kept it that way with exception of the LS6 intake favoring the higher rpms of my setup. as long as i dont get to pissed off with this situation and get things worked out with trans issues ill deff get numbers. if things are correct im thinking somewhere in 400rwhp range and 500rwhp range on the juice along with 12s NA and 11s on the juice. but thats hoping things work out well
