I suppose thats a good possibility seeing as how on the older trucks when you swap an 80e in you ahve to do an entire rewrite after the segment swap. Good luck.

I expect a nasty *** burnout video once you get it running

well we did a rewrite and nothing else has changed. there is no where to change the vin in the TCM. when you click to change the vin is basically says "you cant license the vin" bc its picking up my current ecm not pointing out that the tcm has a different vin. we can make changes to the tcm but its still not letting the truck crank as if there is a theft mode. he mentioned that Ford has to rewrite the ecm stuff with the vin thats required or itll just show its connected but not crank or anything without the vin rewrote. any ideas?

Ok, after digging a bit........It seems that there may be communication conflict between different year model operating systems in the tcm/ecm communication. It could be that the operating system in your ecm will not support t43 communication properly. You might try to re-write the ecm with your vin and the correct operating system to match whatever year tcm you have. If your tcm is an 09 for example, try reflashing your ecm with an 09 os for the 6.2. I don't really know but hoping to stumble across the answer...lol

we uploaded an 09 6.2/6spd tune but it wouldnt let us change the vin so we forced it so
say an now it shows a mixed vin. i may have to get a new ecm and just bring it to
a tuner that does it for a living or take it to the dealer and let them reflash a stock 6.2/6spd tune into my truck an ppssobly the bcm reflashed depending price

I know with efilive, if I order a license, it will do one ecm and one tcm. I think HP uses the vehicle vin rather than the serial # of the module....

yeah its crap, but imma get it figured out. worse case as Skipperdaddy and I was saying...just trailor it to Futral since Allen was a top ase mechanic back in the day. plus Truckshop said he's never had this problem, my trucks being a pain lol. so he's going to talk to Geoff Skinner since he's super smart with junk like this and probably has experience in this type of stuff.

we tried a write entire and compared my stock 5.3/4spd file to the 6.2/6spd file and it wouldnt do crap. the tcm isnt holding a vin WE THINK, and if it is HP wont let us change just the vin, nor will it give us a vin. ill gladly pay the 100.00 for credits to fix the damn problem its just because my truck is being a PITA. once we get it figured out, it'll be worth it. IF geoff/wheatley cant hook me up with something, i will just take it to the dealer and tell them that i need them to make the ecm/tcm talk to each other with a stock tune. they shouldnt charge me much to reflash the ecm/tcm with a stock tune and load the right vins in it since they have the big tools. IF the BCM doesnt cost an arm and a leg to reflash ill add that to the list im already in pretty deep with the price tag so hey whats a few hundred more? now if they tell me a grand ill just set it on fire and collect from the insurance
