it was a challenge....so i took it on. pretty damn happy i did.
as for me i can honestly say i built my truck..can you?
of course i could have just went and bought another truck and blah blah. yet itd be a cookie cutter truck just like yours and anyone else that wanted a truck like that. besides a gear venders is way more costly than what i have in my transmission so eh im good.

Excuse my ignorance. In no way did I mean anything I said as a dig. I respect and am quite envious of your skills as am I quite intimidated by electrical work as well as tuning. That in itself has thrown me in with the rest of the cookie cutter crowd .

If I had a place as well as another means of transpo, I would be more inclined to re-build my truck and build it more to my liking. That as well as moving has made it very difficult. Not knowing anyone and not having any of my mechanic buddies there "just in case" makes it more difficult.

I commend you for taking on this challenge.
Keep up the good work.

i understand..i built mine under a car port with basic tools. nothing fancy. Just got to kinda dive in and say lets make it happen. if you mess up then you look into someone helping you. just cant be scared to mess up an do tons of research and asking questions.

i felt if i decided to trade my truck in for a newer truck it would have been a Duramax 4wd ccsb fully loaded. so my 23k truck vs a 55k truck...eh im good...dont want a huge truck note. although lately i have thought about going get a 2013 duramax...simply bc im bored with my truck.

i have also thought about doing an awd swap and a durmax swap

he has a 6L80e...not a 4L80e. shifter control is pointless unless you reflash your bcm.
ecm isnt needed reuse yours. he will need your harness and tcm. his tcm is in his transmission. you will need slip yoke transmission lines from him and him from you. you need to upload your OS into his ecm and his OS into your ecm. rewrite the vins on the tcms.
