I don't get online much. Having a lead mechanic position now, a toddler, a TBSS I've been sinking money into the online stuff has gotten pushed aside.

A quick bit of info...

07-08 plays together
09+ will not play together. You can't swap OS on your own.

Everyone that has sent me a PM normally has an issue scanning, logging, weird issues with it losing communication with the TCM. I have never had any of those issues.

If you do not treat the OS swap in the ecm or tcm as a "replacement", using the tech stuff GM has. You run the risk of stuff not working out right. Mine is a 2007 6.2, 2009 6L80e. I took it to the dealer for an ECM reflash because I tried to load an 09 tune in. Nope doesn't work! The GM tech used their software, rewrote the ecm and tcm as replacements. Flashed in the 08 Denali OS with the Vin Number I had.

I changed the Vin, the engine stuff, an tuned the 6spd.
Never had a scanning issue, a starting issue nothing. Well once I did have the MAF wiring not repinned

I never messed with the BCM nor the Cluster. Never cared much to tackle that.

Brake lights worked it would come outta park fine but turned out to be a bad switch.
Cool thank you will give it a try.

I have now bought a 2009 ecm going to set that up as I run 1000cc injectors and setting up the 07 tune to run them isnt the best way with double stoich. It is funny to see this thing gettting 50 mpg though as it messes with how that reads. I have my tap up and down shifter on it and its all plug and play just need to update the bcm now to a 2009. In the end I will run all 2009 programs on this thing as it will all match to the same 2009 tahoe I happen to have the vin and stuff from on doing a supercharger tune for a customer. Been working on my 2017 zl1 and trying to keep my current bolt on 1/4 mile record plus take the heads and cam record with my bolt on only car. But my tahoe is my daily driver and the whole idea was to be able tow with it.
Also I have figured out a way to make these 6 speeds shift like a pdk. So if interested in some tuning tips just message me. I have my tahoe ripping its fast not hard when it works right anyway as its temperamental still on these os I have in it all some reason. I had a issue with the 4l60 that has seemed to follow me to the 6 speed which makes me think my ecm is the problem.

Question Extra plug near ecm plugs on 2013 harness

I got an engine, 6l80e and the wiring harness, ecm and maf. I started taking my 2008 engine out and noticed when I was comparing the wiring harness on the 2008 to the 2013 that there is a 12 pin plug coming out of the harness near the two ecm connectors. That isn't on my 2008 truck and I can't figure out what it would be for. The donor 2013 has flex fuel and vvt is really the only difference I can find. I thought since I have the ecm, that the vvt thing wouldn't be a problem...? Anyway, I found a harness on ebay that has the extra 12 pin plug like the one from the donor truck and the part number was 22899919. When I look the part number 22899919, it says it's for 2012-2013s with flex fuel. But there are other 2013 harnesses that don't have the plug. When I look the part number 22899919, it says it's for 2012-2013s with flex fuel. Anyone have any idea what this extra 12 pin plug is for? Can I just leave it unplugged and proceed? I want to find out more before I proceed. TIA!

Post a pic only thing that comes to mind is my transfer case harness being like that. That or the one that goes into the bottom of the fuse box in which I did have to move a pin or two in that to match up to my 07 panel if remember right.

Here's some pictures.

This is the ecm and plugs on my 2008.

This is the vcm and plugs on the 2013, but the plug in my hand is not on the harness in my 2008.

The extra plug has 12 pins, but one isn't pinned.

11/12 pins are occupied, but I don't know what this plug is for since it isn't on my 2008 harness.

That looks like the one that went back to the fuel pump harness on mine I had to re pin that also to my 07 but it looks in the wrong spot connector just looks similar. If the rest is all good I’d run with it. Things that come up will just fix along the way basically how I did it on some of those connectors not working as pinned. One I even had to change back to my old plug but feel like that was only my transfer case. I’m pretty sure I just re pinned the plug to fuel pump.

Ok, so I have the engine and transmission in and mostly hooked back up. I haven't started the engine yet, but I did figure out that that 12 pin plug had wires for the fuel pump and for the bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor. I sort-of put the harness from the old engine and the harness from the newer engine together to get the plugs for the oxygen sensor and to plug into the fuel harness that's near the transfer case. On the 4l60e, the wires for the fuel pump and rear o2 sensor were with the transmission and transfer case harness. So, I connected the battery and thought I'd try to at least see if the fuel pump would run before I put everything back together. BUT, I cannot find the FSCM (fuel control module). I took down the spare tire and it isn't under there. I can't see one anywhere and ended up wondering if my 2008 doesn't have one...? So, I tried to jump the fuel pump control relay and a few other things to see if the fuel pump would run. If I apply 12v to the relay, the fuel pump will run and I thought the dark green and white wire from pin 50 on the x1 ECM connector would run it, but haven't been successful. I don't think hard-wiring the fuel pump to a switched 12v is the best plan (always on when key is on). My fuel gauge works so I think I got at least most of the fuel pump wiring correct. The ECM throws the code for a fault in the fuel control primary circuit, which makes sense since I haven't figured that out. If my 2008 doesn't have a FSCM, how can I make this work without one? Any tips on wiring the dark green/white wire? There was also a pink and black wire in that 12 pin plug that came from the power distribution center. It is 12v switched, but I'm not sure what it does exactly because it doesn't turn on the fuel pump that I can tell.

Reprogram the ecm for your mods

As for cluster i do not know if just "swapping" them out will work or not. So maybe a bcm change or a reflash, with possible gauge swap. Tow/haul and manual shifter is an easy swap as most trucks have the tu/td wiring already

what was total cost of swap?
i have an 07 Avalanche LTZ its already AFM/DOD deleted BTR Stage 2 truck cam at 192k rn and im pretty sure my 4l60 checked out
