07 LTZ Tach Reading High
Got a text from a good buddy of mine tonight asking if I've heard of troubles with NNBS gauge clusters. It seems his tach is reading 1000 rpm higher than what the engine's actually revving, and with the truck off it shows 1000rpm. Is this a bad stepper motor? Or did his tach needle somehow rotate on the pin? Anybody know?

Assuming the problem continues, you could just rotate the needle on the stepper motor and be done with it..... Sounds to me like it slipped, however I cant imagine that being a normal problem.
