This is gonna make you laugh but check the battery in the remote. Mine did a few weird things, but when I used the other remote it worked fine so put new battery in first remote and now it works good too. Kinda odd, it started once then shut off right away, one time it just sounded like the starter engaged but never turned, once it shut off after 30 seconds (not great at -30 to find the truck shut off!) stuff like that. No codes or anything wrong..all I can figure is the remote might send out spurious signals when it gets weak (it can shut off the truck too).

Been over two months and no issues since I replaced that battery. Go figure.

 

Sometimes mine will act like it is going to start and it kicks back and the the starter sounds like it is grinding against the flywheel.. any ideas of what causes this
